Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy involves an assessment of the muscular, bony and ligamentous systems. This detailed evaluation allows us to personalise a treatment plan to help restore joint mobility, rebuild muscle strength, and improve endurance and balance. Treatment is inclusive of hands-on manual therapy, a personalised exercise program, and can include modalities such as acupuncture, dry needling, and ultrasound. Anita has a Diploma in Manual and Manipulative therapy, and is Certified in Acupuncture. Her training equips her with a large skill set to draw on, to help find the best methods to help you heal. Jessica has obtained her Pelvic Health Certification. Along with pelvis health, her clinical interests include shoulder and knee injuries, post surgical rehabilitation and sports injury rehabilitation.
Pelvic Health Physiotherapy
Pelvic Health Physiotherapists are trained in assessing and treating various conditions that involve the pelvic floor, such as pelvic pain, incontinence, urinary frequency and/or urgency, and prolapse. Assessments and treatments may involve internal and external techniques, which focus on the muscles, nerves, connective tissue, joints, ligaments, and tendons of the pelvic girdle, low back and hips.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy involves the manipulation of soft tissues of the body to improve blood flow, to help reduce muscle tension and to decrease pain. Our registered massage therapists (RMTs) have training in a number different massage and manual therapy techniques; this includes (but is not limited to) myofascial techniques, joint play/manipulation, basic neuromuscular integration & structural alignment, pre-/post-natal massage, deep tissue sports massage, muscle energy techniques, craniosacral techniques and remedial exercise guidance.
Fascial Stretch Therapy
A specialized passive stretch therapy technique that engages all layers of tissue from joint to muscle to the interweaving web of fascia. This therapy is safe and effective for anyone. From the average desk worker who wants to relief back and hip pain; to the retired who want more mobility for gardening and travelling with friends; new parents (especially Moms) with aching shoulders and necks from holding baby; and just anyone who feels like they need a good long stretch.
Osteopathic Manual Therapy
Osteopathic Manual Therapy is a structural science with the therapeutic goal of correcting the motion of your body. This will allow for better function and synergy between the various systems of your body ensuring it can heal and regulate the way it should. Osteopathic Manual Therapy is hands-on and does not involve any sudden or aggressive motions ensuring your comfort at all times.
